I still wonder how things would have panned out if the actresses playing Libby and Anna Lucia had stayed home instead of getting drunk or paid a cabbie to bring them home.

Depends on whether the judge has a background critical film theory.

Yep, I'm looking at you, Freauxzen

why? that's more interesting than the simple resolution we were given

because they had a chance to live while they were on the island. look at hurley losing libby despite the fact that he did everything right that he could while on the island. he didn't even do anything to michael. its nice to see him reunited with libby in the afterlife after serving as the protector of the island

or if adebesis wasn't an a-hole

they were all kicked off during the big, "THEY HAVE THIS ALL PLANNED AND IT WAS PLANNED FROM DAY ONE. THEY WILL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING" era (which is forgotten now)

Sucks for Libby. A dude she didn't even have one date with was her soulmate?

i'm sure the afterlife is great and all, but i wouldn't be able to think of jacob as a good guy if everyone had died in the initial plane crash

Sorry if german, but I thought of something that appeared in the pilot...when the losties first saw the smoke monster (or MIB) when it was knocking over trees, Rose says that the ticking sound was "very familiar" to her.

In the Locke centriced episode this past season, the same sound is heard by Rose when she was working in the office booth. So if the island happened in real time, how could Rose recognize the before she reached "purgatory"?

It makes me even think more that the writers had the island's intention as the after life from the start.

jacob is irrelevant to me in terms of the real story

don't know if this has been posted, but a great read from a writer who worked on the show, from Bad Robot. It's a long read, but good.

that shite is hilarious and pretty much cements that the 3rd era is all that mattered in terms of the resolution of the island

jacob jacob mib jacob jacob others jacob mib jacob

the actual behavior of the others in seasons 1-2 doesn't really fall in line with that

and then their behavior when they were preeminent characters was different than both the early seasons and final 2

but he is the one who brought them to the island. and without him there is no MIB. without MIB the others don't kidnap the losties. he was one of the most intriguing characters throughout the show and i always wanted to learn if he was real and where he came from.

Jacob/MIB was a huge part of the story for me

that's a forced explanation

the others kidnapped walt long before the concept of MIB was introduced (or in the writers' heads)

this is the problem. jacob-MIB completely distracted us from the real story (the characters)and created a new era of the show that was completely different than the earlier parts

i just remembered why i figured the emo-verse was jack-centric in the "purgatory" thread, fyi

i came up with some fricked up shite in my head before i was awake (and before i went to laffy for court)

The sound that the smoke makes is the same as a taxi cab receipt printer. Rose was from Brooklyn.
