Other than the wreckage on the beach (which i think is the original wreckage) what is the other evidence? Everything they said at the end stated that everything on the island was real. If they all died in the plane crash, then they dont know Desmond, Ben, Juliet,etc.. so why are they in the church? When you and others debate things from the show, i almost always see your side of it and understand where you are coming from. I do not see this one at all, i think yall are reaching.

When I saw the wreckage during the credits, I told my daughter that it looked like they all might have died when flight 815 crashed. But after thinking about it and reading some threads on DarkUFO and here, I realized that just didn't make sense. Christian's explanation to Jack at the end is pretty straightforward and makes it clear that the island was real and the flash sideways timeline was a collective purgatory to allow Jack to move on with those he loved.

I will say though that one scene did reinforce my original impression of the island being purgatory. When Jack appeared outside the light source face down near a pool of water, it made me wonder if that was actually where he landed after flight 815 crashed, and then struggled to the bamboo field to die. The only other explanation that I can come up with is that Jack was blown out of the light cave by the EM force similar to the way Jacob's brother's body was found after Smokey belched out of the light cave.

I just watched again. I think the main reason Daniel doesn't leave because Charlotte didn't feel the love and remember when she saw Daniel for the first time.

Now post people, so I can leave this island and move on with the rest of the Losties. I did this DD job as long as I could.

I've done it. I've just caught up on this entire thread, all 100 pages. Safe to say, I got very little accomplished at work today. I would close the gap to within 7 or 8 pages, then when I hit next page it would be like 9 pages. Very frustrating, but it feels good to be done. I don't really have anything new to contribute that hasn't been hashed and rehashed a million times already, but I'll just say I loved the episode.

I think Elie stays back either because she's afraid she will go to hell or Charles will. I doubt Daniel goes to hell, he was of pure intentions.

I kind of think that Charles would be the one going to hell. Elie seems to have been used somehow by MIB to bring back dead Locke. I just don't know how. I don't think she had any idea about how fLocke would appear, as reincarnated with Smokey.
