For the 850th time, the crash Scene at the end occurred after the definative end of the show....... You know that part where lost flashed across the screen.....

They showed it in the credits, and maybe they did add it to flick off some people but it wasn't the fans of lost.... It was for the droves of people that always flock to the end of a show just to try and tear it down...

The credits were just a tribute of sorts. How is that hard to understand?

How exactly is that a tribute. Enlighten us that aren't so sure thus making it NOT clear. This show has NEVER been clear.

Please explain how wreckage is a tribute. Showing pictures of all the losties smiling is a tribute, how is showing destruction a tribute?

PLease enlighten me.

The writers had no clue the show was going to be as big as it turned out to be, and they shouldn't have given in to doing all the podcasts and answer sessions like they did because they had to know they would eventually get the purgatory questions.

I by no means think Lost is the greatest show ever, but it has been very entertaining, and I am satisfied with the ending, even if it was predicted long ago. There was simply no other way to end it, and I'm glad the writers realized that during this 120 hour long circle jerk.

t was brilliant thats why. If we didn't spend that much time in it we wouldn't have as much emotional resonance with it.

We still would have had an emotional connection with the characters no matter what.

Fans invested 6 years in the show, having to throw in a afterlife scene that takes places after the main storyline of the show wrapped up(timeline wise) and wasting mucho time on it was just to prove to us how smart the writers are that they could still give a twist ending

Loved 1, didn't watch the sopranos so didn't really get 2, and didn't like 3.

Did you not leave it on as the credits rolled? They showed plane wreckage on the beach.

I thought that was the original flight.

One thing that is weird to me is that Jack's son did not really exist.

Also, the baby in purgatory thing does not really bother me. Barnard and Rose were old. I would just assume that when they step into the door that Christian went through the ages might would change for whatever reason.

Smokie was the only one directly tied to the light. Therefore, when the light went out HE was mortal. Once he was killed, the light had to be reignited before all life was extinguished. Jack did this saved his friends. He was "pierced in his side" for a reason.

i think theres too much comparison with purgatory and the island. the island was what we saw it as an island with some specific sci fi properties - everything about what we saw was real, the light, jacob, mib, dharma, etc... the whole experience is what brings them into the purgatory world when they dies - it was the island that caused these people who were missing something in life to find each other and live out such a pivotal moment in their lives.

but they didn't even answer a slew of things

for example: 4-toed statute anyone?

and they HAD to do these Q/A sessions for 2 related reasons

1. the allure of lost early was the "wtf" factor

2. people wouldn't tune in to the show had they known most of those wtfs were never going to be explained and they were all circle jerks

had they not done this, the show would had run into major problems early on, popularity-wise

Locke saying "JACK YOU DON"T HAVE A SON" is more proof that the island was real.

do you want like a "how the island got its special powers" episode? Because I get that, I really do.

I just also get them NOT explaining it. All we needed to know was that it WAS. I didn't really need a further explanation.

It seems like it would fit in some sort of a "prequel"...not the show itself.
