Because that's the way the audience knows Aaron. Were they supposed to introduce a brand new older Aaron character just for the last few minutes of the show?

That's the discussion on the table. And the problem is the plane crash scene at the end. One....little....scene.

That's the writers giving us the finger.

The plane crash side pan at the end made me wonder though...did Kate and them actually leave...or did they crash and burn.

I'm thinking they made it back since time is meaningless in the afterlife.

True story.

That was a show that exceeded expectations in the end. It was the most complete finale I have ever seen. And tied together everything the show had done before.

But I'm sure they had a plan all along.

The first thing out of Matthew Fox's mouth was that Jack's life on the island was real.

He then went on to say that it was filmed for those of differing beliefs to have differing interpretations.

Depends on how you look at it, but a lot of times it isn't the finale, it's a place of acceptance. The line is thin for sure.

However you define purgatory, it seems strange to me at least, the idea that the most important things you do would be THERE in purgatory

To believe so what mean that the life we living now is meaningless.

Maybe don't show a baby at all. Showing a baby makes it appear he may have died as a baby.

If he lived, he certainly would have left purgatory with his family or loved one.

My question is why didn't they bring Farraday with them?

Elloise asked Desmond if he was taking his son and he said no.... So Farraday is stuck in purgatory with his mom while everyone else moves on?

Agreed. I think Charlotte and Daniel should have been in the room. I understand Ben not going in since I think he may have been afraid of going to hell.

then a lot of fricked up, un-answered questions now remain

namely, what the frick is the island?

So SFP, you would have rather the writers answered honestly that the final episode would prove that the island was purgatory? Give me a break.

The purgatory storyline was the only way to end it. They had to throw people off the scene by saying it wasn't, and frankly I don't blame them. It is a brilliant idea for a television show, and I'm glad they stuck to the plan.

they didn't have to respond

The purgatory storyline was the only way to end it.

because that was the entire setup of the early show. there was no other logical reason for the style they had presented

quote:

They had to throw people off the scene by saying it wasn't

too bad most logical people who stepped outside of what was hand-delivered figured it would still end as purgatory

i know freauxzen and myself did

What difference does it make what order they were in? Faraday or Charlie were the first obviously.
