the fact she is MIA will actually be explained at some point this season.
well, Boone did infer that he went to rescue her, but she decided to stay- hence the empty seat, I assume
that pretty much wrapped it up for me

So, it makes sense to infer that there was also a person with a musical instrument, a late arriver...
Matthew Abbadon??
That makes sense. Also I would not be shocked if some of the other "helpers" we've seen throughout the season were Black Rock crew members: for some reason, the butcher lady that held Locke's coffin for Ben looked suspicious to me. She could be one, for example.

So what was up with the island being at the bottom of the ocean?
Another alternate universe?
Another alternate universe?

Also thought they made it clear Jacob was in the cabin all along since it was surrounded by ashes every time we saw it.
I think it meant that the "MIB" was trapped in the cabin because of the ash ring.

You predicted the occurences of the alternate plane landing in LAX?
not exactly but you did have to think they would at least try to make you think the bomb "worked" one way or the other

And what and who would show up when they arrived at the temple??
complete surprise that the temple showed up this early IMO.....but we knew the people there were others....and it was proven given the flight attendant was there.....we didn't know there were other other's there that we didn't know

I don't think Jacob was in the cabin. Jacob I think went to check the cabin out to see what was up and saw the broken circle so he leaves a note for his followers to meet him at the foot. It's obvious that the mib can't get around black ash.

I also don't even have a clue.....and I'm not sure how we could even begin to speculate.......other than that was the island in the alternate timeline, aka when 815 actually made it back to LAX

I dont think so, but I do think that butcher lady & 2nd-to-Last Samauri were travelers in their own right in the past and have been given immortality as well
same M.O., different ships - the conversation between Jacob & Nemesis pretty much stated that this scenario has played out more than once before

I'm guessing it's some kind of Atlantis reference.
Jughead bomb goes off in 1970's on island and "sinks" the island.
But it somehow creates a split in time sending the Dharma losties back to current day island while the plane never crashes on the other timeline.

this is totally contradictory to everything we've seen
- we know Nemesis is the Smokie
- we've seem Smokie since the very beginning
- the "security system" has been around since at least Dharma, presumably long before
what I dont get, is that if Jacob and Nemesis cant harm each other, why would one need to protect himself from the other?

I think the bomb split time into reality and alternate reality.
Desmond was on the plane, Shannon stayed, Hurley was lucky, and John went on the Walk about. Not only did the plane not crash but this that happened way before the characters even considered flying have changed.
Also! Smoke told Richard "Glad to see you free from those chains." I think he was talking about the Black Rock which was a slave ship.
Jesus what a incredible episode.

My 2 cents. Jaccob = Jesus, MIB = Satan, Satan can't actually kill Jesus so he uses humans to do it (speaking in reference to the Bible), now Satan wants to get back to "heaven" (don't know where that is at, maybe the temple). I say that because in the Bible, Satan was cast out of heaven. Only problem I don't know what the "heaven" is.

Could be following Paradise Lost
Someone mentioned in another thread that there could be some correlations

Also a hell of a job by Terry O'Quinn on this episode. He had to play two completely different characters for this one and did them very well.

I feel like I can wrap my head around everything, EXCEPT Jack's neck wound somehow crossing over into the alternate dimension. Going by what we have seen or can infer so far, that makes NO sense.
And I LOVE IT
