I just don't like it when there is too much of a focus on a lame character and they show very little plot accelaration as to what's going on on the island.
The only exceptions are when the character's centricity story is critical to understanding mythology like Richard/Jacob/MIB

I thought the MIB told Richard that Jacob stole his body when he was trying to convince him that Jacob was evil...

What the hell is wrong with Hurley? I've thoroughly enjoyed all of his episodes for their lightheartedness. I, unlike most people, don't get pissed off when an episode doesn't answer any pertinent questions. I enjoy the character perspectives.

Yeah, something to that effect. I don't think he said anything to imply that Jacob took MIB's original body and is now using it for his own. That would be pretty ridiculous even for Lost.

shite, he's one of the only decent people on the show.
Having said all that, he does talk to dead people. In fact, he talks to the most important dead person on the show at the moment. This could end up being an epic episode.
