Read them many times. Have multiple copies. But direct book to screen adaptations almost never happen for a host of reasons. (See XMen costumes from comics to big screen)

But your lame attempt to compare dress and hair styles to character ethnicity is really damn weak. Skin color isn't an accessory which can be so easily changed like changing a different hat.

You’re whole argument is that you aren’t racist you just really care about Tolkien’s world and the details he put in.
You can’t then turn around and say “well don’t point out those details they’re not important.”

Yeah I get some parts of character descriptions aren’t as important to you as skin color. But if you’re going to hide behind devotion to the world Tolkien built you can’t dismiss cultural practices. Plus I dont Think Tolkien ever said their beards were dyed. So that may just be a racial trait of dwarves.

Meanwhile, OML has accused me of lynching a man in 2008, setting a guy on fire at a gas station for not calling me sir, calling any black person who disagrees with me the n-word and refusing to eat with black people. And his support for those assertions is that I am Not upset about black hobbits.
