I think they did pretty decently in the fight considering they were facing a Jedi master and also Kylo Ren.

That gif is weird to me. Clearly by the girls reaction you know she was sliced by the offhand blade but then where did the blade go? I’m curious to see the whole clip

A movie that everyone talked shite about IRL? This board would have been fun discussing it.

One got a killshot on Rey for just normal dudes in a small brawl that's good.

Johnson had the idea that the scene would be this epic wide shot battle with a bunch of moving parts. After seeing the scene shot he should have scrapped the idea but I think he's too self-absorbed to admit his idea was shite.

Exactly, and that is as condemning a statement as can be uttered.

It's not as if the Red Guards in any Star Wars film prior to TLJ ever did anything noteworthy.

The only thing that really bothers me about The Last Jedi at this point is, why did Luke leave the map

He didn't.

it was believed he went looking for the old jedi temple.

Lor San (old guy at the begining of the force awakens) had one part to where he believed the temples to be. R2 had the other. This is actually the same part the first order has from the empire archives. He downloaded it in a new hope when he tapped into the death star.

Luke didn't leave a map.

I answered your question in the post

Not sure why R2 isn't with him. But it's a leap to say he left it on purpose when it's never implied. It's a misconception Luke left the map.

There isnt even a singular map. They had to put pieces together.
