It has great potential. It's been good, bad, cheesy, cheap, and entertaining all at the same time. I thought the first 3 episodes in general showed a lot of bad writing and/or acting by most of the cast. BBT and the lawyer have been the best parts of the show so far. The forced sexualization of the daughter and wife (Ali Larter still fine as fug though) in the first couple eps was just weird in my opinion. Episode 4 dug it's hooks back into me so I am hoping the rest of the season has the same quality. The scene where the lawyer went off on the prosecuting lawyers was FIRE. Only made her hotter as well
As I said before, BBT is doing a phenomenal job with this role which is why I haven't give up on it completely. But I'd like it to continue getting better. Show me Ali Larter's tits as much as you want, but don't make it forced just for viewership.

Classic Taylor Sheridan show. Amazing setting and cast, god awful writing and storylines.
He does cinematography very well. Makes West Texas interesting and Montana spectacular.

I found it cringeworthy.
Sheridan isn't woke, but he does love to bring the "strong woman" and idolizes Indians.

I’m not a big Netflix and Amazon person but I have really enjoyed Tulsa Kings, Reacher and now this.

The daughter is hot but she doesn’t look anything like a 17 year old…turns out she’s 27 and looks like it so just not convincing. That said as specialized as the character is it’s probably a good thing.

West Texas is a gorgeous place - I made 3 trips there this year to catch snakes. Also just rewatched No Country for Old Men, and enjoyed hearing a lot of familiar towns mentioned (Sanderson to Alpine is my main territory).
Absolutely loving this show, and Billy Bob is awesome in his role.

As long as a show is entertaining, I can overlook its weaker points.

Yeah, can’t forget the recurring “Babes & Brews” hottie. Smokeshow.

She’s also a cast member of “1923”. She’s engaged to the youngest Dutton boy.

There is nothing gorgeous about Midland/Odessa except the girls that go to TCU from Midland.

the story of how Odessa came to be at the beginning of the Friday Night Lights book is hilarious. basically people got conned into moving there and it was an awful place to live. then the oil boom happened.
the weather still sucks

Another dude dead and Jr. beat to frick. One would think those guys would know his dad is their big boss...
Frankly, I like this show better than early Yellowstone. Probably because Billy Bob is a fantastic actor.

Yeah, I saw that coming a mile out and I've never even been in the patch, let alone on a pad.

How many times do you think that’s happened out there IRL?

Gotta beat him to death and blame it on the cartels.
