That, plus the gratuitous b-roll of roughnecks in the field working is his way of making a 45min episode out of 15 minutes of true storyline
He did that with the spinny/sliding horses in Yellowstone.

I live out here and all of these towns (minus Midland to Odessa) are all pretty far apart from each other. the whole damn show would be just travel time if they kept that part accurate.
True…. But still. We really supposed to believe ol boy left after breakfast and made it from Midland to Corpus like mid afternoon in that hunk of shite he’s riding in?
And they’re just making trips from Midland to Amarillo and Fort Worth on the daily.
Also, the Michelob is so out of control, even the Mexicans are drinking it. The Mexicans that work for me drink Modelo and Miller Lite exclusively.

Landman isnt prestige TV Its just a fun show with billy bob going around doing ridiculous stuff and dropping 1 liners. Same as tulsa king with Stallone. Enjoy it for what it is
Exactly. I’ve never seen so much complaining about a show that is just for entertainment, it’s not trying to chase awards. Just have fun or stop watching, the constant complaints every week about women, drive times, and whatever else not being totally accurate is just as annoying as the worst parts of the show.

agreed on the Ultras.
the Mexicans that work for me drink anything that’s at least somewhat cold.

The ranch hands, but it was much worse, much more of a time eater.

No. That is what we do here.

I think Neal (Nate) needs to grudge frick Angela one night after she’s depressed that Tommy had to go check on rig in the gulf overnight…and after one to many margaritas.
When they wake up and he’s leaving the room and seeing what has happened the night before he says….
“You better never call me by the wrong name again Bitch”

Exactly. She went her whole married life without knowing what was going on and now she’s supposed to be able to run a multi million dollar company? She has no idea what she’s doing and she’s about to sign her death warrant (along with the employees) doing business with the cartel

It’s a message board. Let me complain lol.
I just think most of the women stuff in the show is stupid, unnecessary, makes me cringe and I do not like it.

But The Pirate Dinner was too much
I think the Pirate Dinner and the women/TS conversation earlier are setting up for something, I think we caught a hint of it when TS makes an offhanded comment to Tommy along the lines of his bitching about having such a good life.
This show is built on drama, so the Pirate Dinner working out so well is setting up a "calm before the storm" scenario.

If you didn't have Angela and Ainsley for the comic relief this show would be too heavy to watch every week. Just like most folks, I love to fuss about a show just like everyone.
Don't worry, Taylor Sheridan will find a way to screw this one up too. Just let it take time.

I didn’t mind the pirate dinner as much as others did. It was only 5 minutes of the show at most. It showed they have the capability to be happy together amid all the other drama going on.
The moment for me in this episode I found most ridiculous is him telling Cami the truth about Andy Garcia’s character, detailing the torture scene and Cami not caring one bit. 99.9% of oil company executives would tell Cami to F off and deal with it herself and take their golden parachute to another job.

Taylor Sheridan loves to repurpose certain scenes and catch phrase ( "I don't Know what that means" for example). The dinner table is certainly one. In Yellowstone it was always Beth losing her shite and now we have Angela doing it in a more comical way.

Sheridan ain’t gonna be able to pull off a ‘who shot JR’ cliffhanger because we’ll know good and damn well it was her.
