Kevin Spacey will appear on the big screen at least one more time it has been revealed, with studio executives opting to keep the two-time Oscar winner in the upcoming film Billionaires Boys Club.

This is no small role either, with Spacey getting second billing in the film's newly released trailer, which puts the accused pedophile on full display.

Spacey will play Ron Levin, a gay con artist who tricked a group of young men into launching a Ponzi scheme back in 1984, a move that eventually led to his murder.

His killer in the film will be played by his Baby Driver co-star, Ansel Elgort.

A lot has been written about this story, and there was a TV movie in 1987 in which Ron Silver played this role. Nothing I've read mentioned the guy being gay, but they're leading the story with it now since Spacey is living his life as a gay man, I guess.

*edited for the right actor named Ron.

Is there any reason why this story merits another movie? Of all the fascinating things that have happened in history, we get this story. Again, apparently.

No clue, but I guess Hollywood has had some success with corrupt rich people/con artist stories recently enough for someone to go shopping for another true story to draw from.

According to Wikipedia, Judd Nelson has signed on to the play the father of his old character. wiki

Awkward

That was my exact response when thinking about... well, everything when this movie hits. I'm already cringing at the awkwardness I'm going to feel in the future when people start talking about this movie.

Holy shite! We filmed that movie in December of 2015. I assumed it was dead, and for good reason.
