It is starting to be clear exactly why Ken Burns made this documentary. Lot of people today that clearly took both the whitewashed version of America during this period, and also was sympathetic to it's more insidious currents.

Between spending literally two weeks, 10 hours a day melting about black people in LOTR and declaring anyone that doesn't agree with you a communist, wishing death upon them, you truly do sound EXACTLY like the sort of detached radicals of that era that saw a Jewish conspiracy in everything, a communist plotter behind every disagreement, and bent over backwards to paint their opposition the colors of their own hatreds to justify ever escalating suppression and violence against them.

Why deny something that 1.) You would simply handwave away and continue espousing your desire to see your political enemies suppressed or killed, and 2.) Simply exposes you for the unhinged lunatic you are?
You've made it clear your beliefs, like fascists before you, simply work in opposition to the ideals of a free and fair society. You find no issue with using state or mob violence to enforce your ways of thinking and suppress/kill those you disagree with.
One only needs to remember back to your post defending the Nazi treatment of perceived leftists in their country. As I said, you would have been cheering on the jailing of socialists in Nazi Germany.

No
It was clear even then when Hans Blix was on the floor of the UN begging the US to give them another week cause Saddam literally swung the doors open to inspectors to prevent invasion and the evidence they were finding was in stark contrast to Bush's rhetoric that shite was not on the up and up.
But I do not fault people that initially trusted their government after a vulnerable and fearful period after 9/11 to not lie to them about it. I do fault those that doubled down even after the facts became clear shortly after the invasion. Those that stood by Bush's side for years and attempted to paint people simply speaking the truth as enemies of America.
In a sad ironic twist, much of the same dehumanizing xenophobia that was grasped for in the 30's to deny Jewish requests for aslyum in America reared their ugly heads in Iraq when refugees, including strong allies of America that put their life in literal danger, were repeatedly denied admittance into our country, despite us destroying theirs.

Not sure how you, or anyone could compare Coughlin with Limbaugh.
One was a liberal anti semite and the other was a conservative pro Israeli backer.
