For 60+ years? Really? What's next, the Red Scare was actual liberals hunting right wing people and forcing them out of Hollywood?
I mean it's not like George Bush Sr didn't take offense to the Simpsons for being satire of the average American family when so many other shows had portrayed the traditional American family in a certain light.
It's not like the military hasn't paid millions into the NFL to make sure they get celebrated during games to encourage recruiting efforts.
There was a shift in Hollywood to lampoon tradition that started the move more toward the center and over time as more left leaning people entered the industry it shifted more and more to the left into what we see today.
The fact that Fox was bought by Disney and Daily Wire has yet to really plant itself as a major player goes to show how audience trends have gone. Right wing people became disenchanted with media and it has hurt what media was still loyal to them moreso than hurting any of the left wing media.
At some point the tide will turn and start moving back in the opposite direction, especially if people would stop hate watching and engaging with content they disapprove of. Let Disney lose billions of dollars and eventually they will run out of money. Same goes for many of these other companies.

This has more to do with content than anything. Every film they put out is fantastic, but the content release is slow moving and they don't have a lot of filler content that isn't just political podcasts. I wish they'd partner with some other conservative studios to bring other stuff into the app. The cartoon platform has some pretty good kids shows though.
Unfortunately, just being made by Daily Wire is apparently too political for this forum. Not really a movie/TV board at all.

Can we start giving people who do post political stuff a bunch of crap, like we used to?

Following this logic, keep LSU fans off the SECRant, they have a Rant for stuff like that.
My brother had a black light poster from the 70's that read,
"Fighting to end war
quote:
pic of a soldier w/gun
Is like loving to end love"
quote:
Pic of naked man & woman embracing
Make up posters dude.

It’s vague.
But I also think we are all intelligent enough to know what it means.
I think.
Clearly not, because today a clearly not political thread about a not political documentary in the vein of Borat was wacked for being political.
If we cannot discuss Daily Wire movies (not podcasts) on this board then this "no politics" rule is too broad and will destroy this forum. Clearly, only some of us are smart enough to see that. Seriously, if Matt Walsh's "Am I a Racist?" film, which will be released in theaters even, cannot be discussed, then there really needs to be an understanding of what line that crosses as it is very much like a great number of other films.
Where is the line?
Is it because it discusses a political issue? So...the Central Park 5 series shouldn't have been discussed here? What about movies and shows about Watergate? No good? JFK? Lincoln? Bowling for Columbine? Fahrenheit 9/11? Fahrenheit 11/9? All the President's Men? The Manchurian Candidate? What about Veep or even Space Force? American History X?
Is it because Matt Walsh is a political commentator and he made the film? So...no more Michael Moore films? Surely anything by Dinesh D'Souza is absolutely out, right? Oprah, Whoopi Goldberg? What about Spike Lee or Ta-Nehisi Coates? Does Lena Dunham get a pass? Are ANY Daily Wire films okay? Can we discuss "Run Hide Fight" or "Lady Ballers?" I mean, they're all technically being put out by political commentators right?
Is it the style of film as a undercover "gotcha" filming style to trick people into embarrassing themselves? So we can't discuss Sasha Baron Cohen films anymore? No Borat, no Borat 2? Tom Greene's style of comedy is out now? What about Jackass and the spinoffs to that? They did some of this too, right?
Come on, smart guy, explain to us where the line is.

I wish Chicken would check back in and weigh in on this. I mean, wouldn't this be a reasonable compromise?

No it won’t.
You hope.
Clearly, you cannot differentiate between the films and individuals I mentioned. Good job deflecting I guess.

Yeah, this board couldn't survive the pre daily wire movies period of 2000-2020

More deflection. Where's the line? How are the other movies and people I mentioned who make movies and TV different from Daily Wire movies and people who are making movies and TV?
Surely, since this is so obviously clear to you all, you should be easily able to tell the difference, so by all means. Educate me.

This is very reasonable if they could behave themselves and stick to this.
The reality is they won’t. Some may but not all. They want attention. Negative attention.
This is why it all has to go.

It’s just going to kill the board. Every movie has this shite in it, and that is what will drive discussion

Is it? Which political films and people did I mention? If it's so simple, surely you can pick them out.

It doesn’t work anymore Freaux. I’ve never been a fan of banning posters from posting from the entire site but blocking frequent violators from accessing a particular board is a reasonable option.
It’s pretty simple. They just need to bring the political talk/complaining over to the Poli board.
If they don’t, the thread can be moved and they can be warned.
If they’re warned multiple times and clearly won’t stop, they lose the privilege of posting on the MTV board for a period of time.
It’s not even close to as complicated as some of you are desperately trying to make. Take the politics related talk to the Politics Board.
