That's probably the most anticipated movie from either Lucasfilm or Marvel, and could legit revive the franchise. It's the sequel we should have gotten.

Ok I'm getting downvoted to hell here

I guess that means I'm the only one gonna go see it when it comes out. Or maybe, people actually liked the sequels we got?

Just for clarity's sake, what SW or MCU movie pending, do you think is more anticipated?

I'm not really that eager for any more MCU, be it Fantastic Four or some X-Men reboot. Totally disinterested in any of their current franchises, I think they ran Thor into the ground and the rest of the original Avengers crew is done.

There's little else coming from Star Wars I'm interested in, if anything is even in development. That leaves this, as I said, as the most anticipated movie in the pipeline. If they keep the original spirit of Mando, and incorporate the Ahsoka/Thrawn stuff in as I understand they're supposed to, I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Plenty of facts. Kathleen Kennedy hasn’t seen a major cinematic success from the. two premier franchises from Lucas Films.

She’s 71 and the projects in the works now all look like trash.

She isn’t getting her a big sendoff blockbuster movie. Not if she sticks to this “force is female“ nonsense.

you’re such a dishonest piece of shite. The Acolyte was branded as the gayest thing they’ve ever done before it came out by Leslye

Did you conveniently forget about Lightyear? There are too many examples to list

Yet they didn't even let her put any gay interactions in the show.

The only thing possibly "gay" was a witches coven being all women and all being the mothers to the twins.

Witches covens not having men is the norm in fantasy.

So once again if you quit paying attention to interviews OUTSIDE the shows or names in the credits you wouldn't be bombarded with gay shite like you claim.

You search this stuff out.

Do you really believe most people watch interviews with the showrunners and cast interviews? A very small minority pays attention to any of that shite.

Show me any official trailer for the show where they mention it being the gayest thing they've ever done if that's what it was 'branded" as.

The Acolyte wasn't Will & Grace or Modern Family.

So your argument is “just be stupid like me and the show will seem good”

You’re a person who’s run out of BS and is now arguing that fans shouldn’t pay attention to the shows they watch so they can intentionally miss the meaning and you’re doing it with the sole intent being to defend Disney and we all know why.

I guess so if you think not caring what people in Hollywood have to say is stupid.

So are you saying people shouldn't separate the actor/director from the product? Because if so than we really shouldn't enjoy any Mel Gibson or Tom Cruise movies.

Because I am still going to enjoy Passion of the Christ despite Mel Gibson making statements I don't agree with. I still think Tom Cruise is one of the most badass actors despite his connections to Scientology.

Okay this is just not accurate at all. The Force Awakens made over $2 billion at the box office and got many old fans to buy back into Star Wars and brought in new fans as well.

Rogue One was a damn good movie as well that brought in over $1 billion as well.

Now the rest of the movies, yeah they were shite and their box office reflected that even if not to the extent they should have.

I’m all for rightfully criticizing Star Wars, particularly the twat waffle running Lucasfilms, but stick to the facts, not revisionist history dude.

Mel and Tom don’t let their politics seep into their movies. Hell I don’t even know their politics quite honestly and rightfully so. I know Tom Hanks is a looney liberal but in all of his movies I’ve seen, he hasn’t let that seep in. Granted I’ve seen maybe one maybe of his movies from the last decade or so, but prior to that, it was all separate.

Not only did The Acolyte throw unnecessary “progressive” nonsense all over the show, but they also destroyed canon in several minor and major ways.

No, he’s arguing that the the messaging in the show isn’t really there and when people point out that not only is it obvious but the people who created the show have confirmed it’s intentionally there his reply is you shouldn’t listen to their confirmations or point out what happened in the show but instead believe his dishonest interpretation of the show.

When someone who creates a story tells you what’s in the story and what it’s about that’s what it’s about. Your argument would be delusional if you were naive but you’re not so it’s dishonest.

Ok, I haven't watched the show, so I don't know the content versus what the people said. I just always feel you should be able to separate the art from the artist. I can enjoy movies from some questionable directors even though I wouldn't spit on them if they were on fire.

Granted I've had to take this stance because 90% of Hollywood is perverts and degenerates.

Sorry for not taking people claiming the show broke canon's word for it when Ive seen actual evidence refuting those claims.

I'd be fine with Kathleen Kennedy being fired yesterday, doesn't mean we need to make up reasons. The sequel trilogy is a good enough reason on its own.

they don’t watch that either.

they watch clips of it and videos of a people being outraged over it.

They get upset when a reporter from a gay magazine asks the gay director if the movie is gay and her answer wasn’t even “yes” it was “not but I love it”

Meh. TFA was going to make bank just because it was the first Disney made Star Wars so a wet rag could have been President and it would not have mattered.

Why, because it followed the formula Lucas laid out.

I think the point is that she took something that made $2 Billion (not because of her) and progressively got worst on her watch.

TIL from the Disney Wars fans that no Star Wars fans watch cast/writer interviews

Because hard-core SW fans are less committed than your average Limp Bizkit fan.

Lucasfilm warning new cast/crew are just talking about a handful "grrr evil yootoobers"

Crazy how many "only hateful grr ebil yootoobers" are showing up at all these SW conventions and panels that are just packed.

One of the most idiotic things a Disney Wars fan has ever said. . Aside from the "look rapid burnoff and sudden explosion totally justifies campfires in the void of space"
