Love this movie, despite the Christian Slater performance. I didn't mind Costner too much, and the rest of the cast was fantastic. One of my favorite Alan Rickman roles.

Fun fact, Rickman hated his original lines in the movie so he got with a comedian friend of his and rewrote them in a coffee shop. The director agreed to use them and we got gold.

Costner ended up being annoyed by this because Rickman showed him up on screen.

Alan Rickman OWNS this movie. He absolutely destroys every scene he's in. I wonder if he enjoyed just being a total arse as opposed to a serious villain for once?

Slater was terrible. No redeeming qualities

agreed. Slater was in the middle of his little 3 or 4 year run as the hot dude that all the girls loved, which is, i'm sure, why they cast him in the movie. he basically just plays the role of medieval Christian Slater.

love the movie though - an all time favorite for me. i'm also a shameless Costner fan.

haha i had the entire line. it's actually an interesting little bit of toy history - they built that toyline on the cheap and just used the old Star Wars and Super Powers toy lines' molds. mixed and matched a few torsos and legs and voila - Robin Hood. even the Sherwood Forest playset was just the old Ewok Village revamped with some foliage.

i also believe they only ponied up the cash for Costner's likeness and maybe Freeman, so all the rest of the figures just look like generic dudes. the Sheriff of Nottingham figure is particularly silly.

Yeah, that was early in Connery's Hollywood rebirth. Virtually disappeared for two decades after Bond, and other than Highlander and never say never again, I don't remember another movie with him in it until rhpot, he really picked up steam after that

Unless there was another cameo. I haven't seen it since I saw it in the theater

When I was younger and more naive, I thought they called Morgan Freeman’s characters “the painted Man” because of the freckles, not the skin tone.

GOAT (serious) Robin Hood movie, and the only one that got its own video game?

Rickman and Wincott are two of the best villain actors of alltime.

If you like her puppies checkout White Sands with her, Defoe, Samuel L. Jackson and Rourke.
