In a battle of the brains, who would win?
Could J.R if he was in Yellowstone be able to save the ranch?

JR would eat Beth and all the Duttons for breakfast

I'm sure that Beth is outclassed here but I wanted to see other opinions.

Beth relishes the fight. JR takes you out before the fight.

If you haven’t watched Dallas in a while you probably don’t fully appreciate how cold blooded and conniving JR was.

Will people still be talking about Beth 35-40 years from now like they do J.R.? That’s your answer

She would be nothing more than a Secretary that he winks at, as she’s leaving the office after JR had his way with her.

One thing though, JR was a pussy physically in many instances whereas Beth (with her Mary Sue armor) is a badass and can give and take it. .

J.R. would squash her like an insignificant little bug.

Not even close. JR would turn Beth into his slave. He would run rings around her in business.
He would've found out about why she can't have kids and used it against her. He would have unraveled her crooked dealings and used them against her as well. He could say no to the sex and that would blunt her main weapon.

On November 21, 1980 the episode who shot J.R was aired with an estimated 83 million viewers. That was the highest rated broadcast in American television history at the time. It was watched in 57 countries with 20 million in the United Kingdom.
The episode was a culture moment that made Dallas the most talked about TV shows of all time. It also marked the beginning of widespread use of cliffhangers in television series finales in the United States.

J.R always used brains over brawn. He was good at playing the victim and probably would have Beth committed to a mental institution.

Beth has zero charisma.
