Was a very depressing movie but I LOVED this movie. Watch it whenever it's on.

Enjoy your downvote OP.

I can agree with most of that.

This is a very thin assumption. Can you be more specific in your critique please?

I thought it was a lot better when it was called The King of Comedy

Probably one of the best depictions of how people can snap in today'society.

It's a movie about societal pressure and mental illness cloaked as a comic book movie. Nobody would've gone out to see a depressing arse movie about mental illness without the Joker attached to it.

Sorry, can't take anyone seriously who uses the phrase "top tier cringe."

It would’ve been a much better movie had they cut out the IP tie in. Just make it a psycho movie.

Here’s a boo…Movie was fantastic. It can be a tough rewatch, but I think it’s supposed to make you uncomfortable. The acting was top notch

I mean it was a good movie in terms of acting, design and directing… but I didn’t care for the super dark story and it was pretty disturbing to watch.

I enjoyed it but it wasn't a "Joker" movie. He had almost nothing in common with the Joker other than face paint. Still enjoyed it, but I never thought I was watching something remotely tied to the Batverse.

Yeah it was just a depressing movie about an insane man. Great acting though.

That’s a bit dramatic

I’m kinda curious who started this trend. People using cringe and toxic to describe things has become quite annoying.

Yeah, people always mention Taxi Driver, but it was more derivative of King of Comedy.

I might have more respect for it if they didn't use the Joker name to get suckers to watch it and just tried to make a stand-alone homage to the King of Comedy.

While I agree it was overrated, it wasn’t one of the worst movies. It was decent enough.

Why does everything always have to be “the bestest evarrrr” or “the worstest ever made?” Can’t movies be gauged somewhere between the two extremes? That’s what is “cringe”

My issue with the whole movie is that I don't think it fits into any type of Batman universe. This Joker is a moron and the joker in Batman was not. I just can't connect how this Joker will turn into a Batman villain Joker without some type of mutation or they just have to make him some type of new age victim status villain.
