Joaquin was born to play this role, I do worry about him after this role since he is very much a method actor. Hope he got another light role after to do a cleanse of sorts.

He did play Jesus in Mary Magdaline. Not sure which movie filmed first though.

It was a kids show with some tits for Dad as he indulged the rugrats.

Gotta remember this was still when even Hollywood royalty could spend their golden years in a shitty retirement home. Even 30 years into his career he was still doing all he could. Not gonna toss out your iconic mustache for that.

Has anyone considered the possibility the mother and girlfriend/love interest are hallucinations in the movie?

Has Alan Moore ever stated that Joker and/or his goons went full on rape?

I know he regrets the sexual battery that did make it in. But even the alleged "rape" page is the same photos shown to Gordon but zoomed out iirc.

I doubt it, but it's enough that it's still an ongoing discussion all these years later. If it was published in today's climate it would be rape.

Hamill is still the greatest Joker. Not even close.

Not comparable. Hamill was not the entire Joker. He was a great voice, but the artists who drew and animated him were the "actors" as well.

This Onion article sums up my feelings. I mean, it looks good I guess, but who cares?

Also, a vast majority of the population has not seen Hamill's joker or if they have, don't remember it and certainly don't think of it as "THE" Joker. Animation has such a limited audience compared to major films.

It's Nicholson for older people and Ledger for the younger crowd. That's what I've come to find.

Most people aren't comic buffs on Movie/TV internet message boards.

The world would stop spinning if they put out a live action Killing Joke with Barbara raped and crippled and the footage shown to her father during his own torture session. Plus Dr. Strange showed that Cumberbatch's acting range has limits.

Prediction: If they ever adapt The Killing Joke for a live-action movie, they certainly won't show or imply that Barbara Gordon was raped. I say it's 50/50 if they make her paralyzed as a result of the attack.

Ok, so the more I think about it, the more I think this trailer is throwing us off intentionally.

I am leaning towards the Joker hallucinating his mother and love interest as projections of the lies he tells about his childhood. I'm not sure we'll even get the truth about his family/background in this. I could see a shrink at Arkham trying to get him to reveal the truth and he won't/can't.

I think it'll show him being an absolute nut case, but not a violent one towards other humans yet. Then he devolves into his true self through several events and becomes a violent psychotic.

Yeah, I'm waiting for his list of movie super-villains that are better than Ledger's.

Please. Tom Hardy as Bane was superior compared to Ledger's portrayal as the Joker. The only reason y'all like him so much is because you think he died by getting too involved with the role when in reality he was just a depressed drug-head whose time on Earth was up.

1. Hamill
2. Nicholson
3. Romero and Ledger (Phoenix spot reserved til October)

Hype. It's there. DC's latest movies give me more hope. The trailer is great. And, Joaquin Phoenix. No more needs to be said on that. So much going for it. Please be good...

It was a great performance regardless.

I do love Hardy's portrayal of Bane. He's a very underrated villain.

I like TDKR and Hardy as Bane, it seems like most people on here dont and TDKR gets hated on way too much. That being said, he's not on the same level and I dont feel like breaking it down why.

As far as liking the movie, I couldnt care less that he died. It was my favorite super hero movie of all time when it came out and still is to this day. Not just because of the joker and especially not just because he died.

Man Hamil sure does get a nice pass with everybody given the fact that he didnt have to physically act. IMO he shouldnt be compared or atleast there needs to be an asterisks by his name if you are going to rank him up there. He was a pretty bad actor and if he did have to act he would probably be at the bottom of the list.
