As been said several times already....The Thing.

What I have learned from this thread:
JC is responsible for shite ton of movies I love yet had no idea he was responsible.

Was looking at his list of movies. Has anyone watched "Dark Star" before?

Is apparently one of, if not his first film done in 1974. Had a budget of $60,000.

Man, this has been coming on a lot lately on the movie channels, and I always find myself putting it on. It's so cheesy and bad, and just awesome.

Also, I've never seen Big Trouble in Little China, but based on some comments here I feel like I may need to check that out.

If you haven't seen it, you should go in knowing that its basically a peak 80s dumb action/fantasy movie with Kurt Russell playing Han Solo as the lead.

If you're a 10 year old boy in 1988, your childhood is basically incomplete if this isn't one of your 3-4 favorite movies.

For everyone else, its a fun action romp that I certainly recommend watching but its not going to make or break your movie library or anything.

May not be a popular opinion but I think Halloween is overrated. Slasher movie genre was done before it and was done better later on. It's really only remembered imo because of the awesome theme.

Feel free to disagree with me, it's just what I think. It's by no means a bad movie I just think there are better movies, even in it's own series
