Don't think I necessarily agree with that. I mean sure he had an influence on a ton of comedic actors. But all of them falling from his upper lip? Naw. There are plenty of people that are funny in their own right and have created their own style independent from what he did.

Jim Carrey was acting zany in 1985's Once Bitten. I think that predates honey I shrunk the kids by 4 years.
