I'm watching Mayor of Kingstown and he is fantastic in it. I've always like him, and this news is just awful. Seems that accident might require one of his legs to be taken. (I searched and only found a thread about the original accident being reported)

And the accident was sooooo weird. Just a fricked up thing to happen to a guy I've only heard good things about.

My father-in-law lost a leg 30 years ago in a railroad accident. He walks just fine with a prosthetic.

Better than losing an arm.

Damn, that sucks... Haven't seen any of his Hawkeye, as that stuff isn't my jam, but him in The Town was gold

Afflec: "I need your help, I can't tell you why and you can never ask me about it, but we're gonna hurt some people"

Renner: "Who's car we taking"?

Many were saying similar with Tiger Woods after his accident. This sounds obviously worse. Just terrible.

Hope he hangs in there & heals fully soon.

I’ve only seen this and the quotes from the “insider” here and a few other places. Other more reputable places said his recovery is going well.

I’d take this with a grain of salt.

I love that movie. One of my favorites.

Haven’t yet seen this from a reputable source, so hopefully it’s just hearsay. Others have reported he will have a long road to recovery, but is ahead of schedule so far which is promising. Hoping for the best from him, Renner seems like a really good dude.

That’s no way to get a leg up in this industry.

Everything about this accident is awful. I wish him the best and hope these early outlooks are proven e
Wrong.

This is a pretty inflammatory headline. Per the article above, his friends "worry that he will never walk again". Amputation is a number of steps down the road, and would happen if everything that could go wrong does.

Bizarre accident. Reminds me of the Yelchin incident.

This article was posted three days ago and it’s fandomwire, only other site talking about amputation was some random arse site I’ve never heard of. Sounds like that article is just clickbait

Herbert Marshall lost a leg in WW1, but it didn't stop him from having a good career for decades as leading man, and then character player.

Yeah, Good Morning America did a whole piece on him this morning and he was taking pictures with family and smiling and they were saying how well he’s done and is getting better every day

Nobody ever mentioned an amputation

They make pretty damn good prosthetics these days.

May not end his career completely.

As long as he wants to continue acting he'll be fine. shite, the injuries could easily be written into his character for both Mayor of Kingstown and in the MCU.

Sucks if true, but if special effects can make make a fat schlub like Steven Segal appear like he can run and fight, then they can use CGI magic to make Jeremy have 2 legs.
