+1 I just can't get into Robbie's Harley Quinn. It's always cringe for me.

I’ll watch it just for Idris Elba and Michael Rooker.

But yeah, I’ve never liked Hot Topic Harley Quinn.

I loved it. I don’t give a shite that it’s just Deadpool meets GOTG, my lizard brain craves exactly that shite in a comic book movie called Suicide Squad

Looks like we're getting Starro in this film.

Really?

Hopefully it’s just one of those movies you have to see in order to appreciate the humor and everything. But a large portion of that trailer was pretty cringe

I didn’t think it was that bad, I mean all comic book trailers look the same to me these days, but I did laugh that they felt the need to reexplain the entire plot about exploding devices if they fall out of line

1.) it’s not that complicated of a plot device and not really something the audience really needs to know going in, especially if you’re going to make all your team members just quippy good guys

2.) it just highlights how badly they fricked up the execution in the first one. They spent like an hour and a half giving so much back story to each character, then right before the first mission they threw in another character (the only one they barely gave exposition to), and then killed him 3 seconds after his first screen appearance because it was supposed to highlight the danger, but no one cares about a guy who was essentially a lackey dying 2 seconds after we met him

I think y’all need to lower your standards and live a little. Try being a sports fan in Georgia, it helps.

Soo... is this a sequel, or a reboot of a film that JUST came out?

Sequel, but they likely won't reference the previous film at all. But a lot of that cast is returning for this one.

Trailer was good, but how did they manage to make King Shark look worse than his CW counterpart?

He's mentioned it'll be a hard R. I'm excited.

That is how you print money with second-string superheroes.

Yeah its just strange that they keep pumping out the same movies/ideas over and over is there truly nothing else they can be making right now

Because enough people like watching these movies? They make these studios and execs a lot of money. People like watching them because at least the best ones are entertaining enough. Really just simple as that.

1. this is going to be a successful film.

2. so much so that James Gunn is going to feel powerful and free enough to really amp up his child molestation jokes.

3. he'll get in trouble but nothing will happen.

4. Gunn will make another film and the cycle starts over.

At this point, he's learned his lesson and you're the one still posting child molestation jokes.

second-string superheroes.

Nobody in the Suicide Squad is a hero really, at the most anti hero.

Also Harley is certainly not second string she's arguably the most popular DC villain aside from Joker and maybe Luthor

Is this a reboot of the origin story? If so, is it the fastest ever reboot?

I want the DC folks to get something right. They've wasted Superman, Batman, almost everything trying to re-capture Marvel.

But this schizophrenia is maddening and confusing.

I mean there's nothing wrong with following the marvel model.

Have individual super hero movies and then do JL.

You can't just introduce Flash and Cyborg in JL without us knowing them.

also stop rebooting every franchise every 5 years.
