I honestly don't remember much about the first movie. Unless the second Avatar gets great reviews, I have no interest in seeing it. It's James Cameron's life, but I wish he was spending his time on better shite.

The first movie was a great theatrical experience. It's also great on bluray. However, I wasn't exactly jumping up and down with anticipation for a sequal, much less four of them.
Cameron used to direct some really good Sci-Fi films but since 1997, he's only focused on Titanic and Avatar. He could have done so much more in that timespan.

Honestly how much name cache does Avatar have? It's not something that really resonated with pop culture, and it's been out of the public mind for 7 years now and the blockbusters have been taken over by superhero films and tent poles. It's just a movie that made a shite ton of money because of effects and hype and overseas people love that shite

I feel like these will be worse than the Matrix sequels. The original was a great visual movie, but was really just a live action Fern Gully, with bigger fairies.
