Who cares, honestly? I mean really it's trust Feige, that's why I think the Spider-Man stuff is fairly inane as well.

If Marvel is willing to let Spider-Man go, they could pay if they want, then they must have a good backup plan. Same if this were true.

Everyone is going to predict a misstep with every Marvel thing now. And guess what? Since that happens, some lucky souls predicting some decision are going to be correct. I guess they can have cookies Success at this level will not last forever.

Insiders have filled in the Overlord DVD YouTube channel that "all is not well with Captain Marvel" at Disney and that the studio has lost confidence in the character.
I wouldn’t put a lot of faith into the “insider info” from some random Youtuber with 50,000 subscribers alone.

In fact, the info doesn’t make a lot of sense since “allegedly” they were going to pair Spider-Man (and his charm) with Captain Marvel (and her lack of charm). Yet, even if Sony kept Spider-Man in the MCU, why would Marvel waste the limited number of films, to give him less overall screen time?

In other words, I doubt the ROI of adding Spider-Man to Captain Marvel films, would be worth the opportunity costs of more standalone films for both.

It’s like those guys who predict a market crash every year, then when one finally happens they can say “look I predicted it.”

I disagree that it was “bad,” but regardless that’s just subjective. What is not subjective is the money it made at the box office ($1.1+ billion) and beyond (merchandise, DVD sales, etc.). As an anecdote, this is the first time any of my nieces have ever cared about a Marvel film, and they loved it so much, that they had me rent it when they visited, and one of them even bought some Captain Marvel toy at the Disney Store.

Heck it's been going on since Age of Ultron. Until the trailer came, most people were questioning Guardians. Now look. Superhero movie fatigue has been a wish for many for 6 years as Infinity War and Endgame broke all sorts of records.

Marvel is going to make another bad film (they have made maybe 1 bad movie so far, most are above average, with a few dipping to average and a few legitimate excellent films).

ya'll are parsing this shite like it matters. she went toe to toe with a fully powered gauntlet wielding Thanos, who had to hand hold the power stone in order to yeet her into oblivion.

is Doc Ock gonna be a real big problem for her?

It should also be pointed out that Marvel is apparently bringing back Robert Downey Jr. for their Phase 4 plans, as Tony Stark is said to be coming back for the Black Widow prequel,

That's lame, IMO. I understand it's a prequel but that's pretty damn quick to see him again.

I just assumed Benedict Cumberbatch was the face now that Stark / Cpt. America are gone.

Toe to Toe means she held her own for some time, she lasted like 30 seconds.

That's like saying Savarese went "toe to toe" with Tyson. Sure he was in the same ring, and sure he was on his feet conscious for 30ish seconds. But he did not "go toe to toe."

If they want female characters to lead I hope they do it with a female Thor (Hemsworth's becoming Odin) and Monica Rambeau as the other Captain Marvel. Larson is unlikable and dragged demographic selfishness into the MCU. You just shouldn't be promoting a movie and then tell what is probably the majority of the comic book audience that some movies are specifically not for them for something as stupid as demographic issues.

A good movie is good because of nothing to do with the demographics of the characters or the audience. I really dislike Larson bringing her nonsense into the MCU

We'll need a DC/MARVEL mashup series, Darkseid would buttfrick her into the Phantom Zone

Get ready for the downvotes, not from me of course, I happen to agree with you. This board has some strange obsession with Brie Larson.

This average looking no talent cock juggling thundercunt somehow became the greatest piece of arse since Helen of Troy according to the M/TV posters.

This is already happening. Natalie Portman is obviously only coming back for money, she didn't even want to do Thor 2 but she was contractually obligated. She's a much better actress than Larson but only slightly less of an unlikeable America hating commie. I'm hoping they don't make her into a major figure in the MCU.

I would take Portman as the center of the ongoing MSU as Thor, Iron Person, or Stan Lee. Anything but Larson.
