Someone at Fox thought this looked rad.

To be fair, the parts with the teenage mutants just hanging out were the most entertaining part of that shitty movie. I didn't even finish Apocalypse it was so boring, and it was such a disappointment after DoFP.

Apocalypse the character. Oscar Isaacs acting

Oscar Isaac had some good comments about the movie a while back. Apocalypse was the last of those characters to be done with makeup. He said it was a nightmare to get made up and getting all that crap taken off was even worse. Whereas Josh Brolin mainly had to put on a spandex suit with a bunch of crap on it to play Thanos.
That movie was terrible. What stinks is that DoFP was so good.

Crazy they couldn’t do any sort of Mocap given the success of Golum and the new planet of the apes films. Fox didn’t have a clue with these characters.

There are some things where practical FX are the way to go. But if you have an actor playing a purple mutant who can change his size, just go with motion capture.

"That’s one of the reasons I didn’t continue, because they didn’t listen to me. My plan was “First Class,” then second film was new young Wolverine in the 70’s to continue those characters, my version of the X-Men. So you’d really get to know all of them, and my finale was gonna be “Days of Future Past.” That was gonna be my number three where you bring them all… because what’s bigger than bringing in McKellen and Michael and Stewart and James and bringing them all together? When I finished the “Days of Future Past” script with it ready to go I looked at it and said, “I really think it would be fun to cast Tom Hardy or someone as the young Wolverine and then bring it all together at the end.” Fox read “Days of Future Past” and went “Oh, this is too good! We’re doing it now!” And I said, “Well what do you do next? Trust me you’ve got nowhere to go.” Then they did “Apocalypse” and it’s like… If you flip that ’round even it would have been better. Hollywood doesn’t understand pacing. Their executives are driving 100 miles-per-hour looking in the rear-view mirror and not understanding why they crash."

well good thing its now left Fox's hands, would have been cool to see what Vaughn could have done though.

And, frankly, I was pretty much here after X3

There is no x3 though.

X-Men, X2, X-Men: The last stand, X-Men Orgians: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, The Wolverine, X-men : Days of Future Past, Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, Logan and Deadpool 2.

Jubilee has shown up in, I think, three of their movies and has used her powers a total of 0 times.

She never had much power, at least when I read the comics in 1990s. She was really a comedy relief sidekick for Wolverine.

Mystique as the lead XMan?

The obsession with Mystique in these movies is dumbfounding, as is the refusal to show Colossus. At least Deadpool gave us a great Colossus and Juggernaut. I really don’t under what’s so complicated about portraying the core characters properly. Deadpool and MCU have no problems doing it.

Also, don’t show him with the power to kill people with a thought early in the movie but forget about that power later on.
