Season 2 will jump back to 1935, during the Great Depression, and center on the Bradley Gang massacre.

I thought it was a decent season and had some potential with the revelation of the time travel by IT.

I enjoyed the first season well enough, but the last episode or two kind of went off the rails. Maybe season 2 will be fine. I was a little grumpy this morning when I made that post, sorry for being a debbie downer.

Hopefully they'll move away from kids being central to the story this season.

If I remember correctly from the book, the Bradley Gang Massacre wasn't a big focus. I hope the entire season isn't based on this insignificant event

The gist I get is that each season will be leading up to the "major incident" that occurs during each of IT's cycles. I believe S3 will be the lead up to the Kitchener Iron Works explosion. Just like this season was leading up to The Black Spot fire.

I don't mind them expanding the universe that way because you can go unique places but still have ties to the original series.

Ah yeah that makes sense

S1 may have started off poorly (I remember lots of bitching about CGI), but the end of the season was great. Hell, the reveal in the sewer around E4 was awesome: "Duck and cover, kiddos". If you can't find those last episodes entertaining, there is little hope for you.

Glad to see someone else that didn't like it. I felt like they did too much mental gymnastics to make the story more than it should be. The whole military operation part was plain stupid to me. I did like the daughter of Pennywise plot though, that part could have been so much more.

Yeah the first episodes cgi was fricking terrible and laughable but the show really finished strong. Hopefully it drops in October.

I loved the book and the recent movies (though Chapter 2 is difficult to stay a movie on its own), but I could not finish a single episode with the CGI slop. Maybe I’ll revisit if it finished strong.

I don’t know all of the IT lore but it was really entertaining with some legit creepy parts the rest of the way. The cemetery scene was sort of cheesy but also felt like a nice throwback to Goosebumps and hit on some nostalgia

Pretty sure it’s not expected to come out until 2027.

Season 1 took a while to get going outside of the 1 scene an episode that would go for it, but they made some really interesting decisions in the final episode that set up a pretty fun roadmap for future seasons

Absolutely god awful series that never should have been greenlit for a second season. Watching the kids act in the first season made me nearly rip my hair out. Everything was bad; the dialogue, their mannerisms, the shitty jumpscares, etc.

Muschietti is a talentless hack who’s piggybacking his career on the success of one film that was written entirely by someone else.

Noted. Hopefully this means we won't see you in the in-season thread talking about how much you hate it.
