Goonies for me. Every time I hear that chase music at the beginning on TBS, I know I'll be watching it for the next couple hours. The Sandlot is a hell of a movie too, but not in the league with The Goonies.

Stand by Me is another good choice here.

Sandlot for sure.

"I'm baking like a toasted cheezer out here Benny! Its so Hot!"

Also a big fan of Rookie of the year. Anyone ever notice that Henry's love interest in ROY is also Julie "The Cat" Gaffney in Mighty Ducks?

Couldn't have said it better.

If I'm walking past a tv and the Goonies are on, I'll be there for at least a half hour. It could be in Sears, someone else's house, doesn't matter.

Not taking anything from the Sandlot, the Goonies is just that much better.

As a kid, I would've loved to find some tunnel and booby traps and stuff like Mikey and his gang.

i consider Home Alone more of a Christmas Movie rather than just a kid's movie.

Lots of good movies listed here.

Not sure. It's definitely up there though. Goonies is obviously also a good call. If I had to pick my favorite of the two, it would prolly be Sandlot, but if I'm picking "iconic childhood movies" then Goonies would win. If that makes sense.

Also, good call on Stand By Me, whoever said that. That one's up there fa sho.

Karate Kid should get some consideration.

Also, a lesser known but solid movie is October Sky.
