Is Prometheus worth watching?

Debating on what to rent on Zune. Did a search to find some opinions and only found the thread about the deleted scenes. Didn't click in case of spoilers.

Visually - It's spectacular... and you can make the rest of it as deep or as shallow as you care to.
I liked it a lot - and I'm fairly picky about my SciFi.

So awesome in the beginning, no clue what is going on in the middle, and figure it out for yourself at the end?
I'm just kidding on that one. It's only a couple of bucks so I'm sure it is worth it. Thanks for the input.

I liked it a lot. The original thread on it was pretty long and convoluted, and there were a lot if gripes about it. I went into it not trying to dissect everything and just enjoy it at face value, and I ended up liking it a lot.
Like someone said, you can take it and read into it as deeply or shallow as you want to.

I liked it a lot better with the second vexing
I had some of the issues others did with the movie when I saw it in theaters
watched it at home and like it a lot better. can't really say why, I just think I didn't try and dissect it so much

I thought it was cool as hell.
Not what I expected. Similar to BSG meets Aliens.
That's not quite right.
More like the crew of BSG, doing a Star Trek-type mission, but shite gets Aliens/Pitch Black when they get there.
Except without the hammerhead alien.
Sadly, I think my comparison may have summed the entire movie up.
But it is still very cool.

Most definitely, I thought it was the greatest film this past summer. I don't understand why this board dislikes it so much. My imagination was literally jerked off and it was visually stunning. It does answer questions from Alien, but leaves some as well. A sequel has already been confirmed for 2014-2015

Definitely worth watching. You're either going to love it or hate it. So might as well try and find out.
