It's not believable that someone her size would last an entire season.
Also, she plays for the Padres and has to hit...

You've never seen Kville?
I cannot imagine a show ever being worse than that.
The first episode featured:
A cop drinking hard liquor in uniform on bourbon street, saying it's an everyday part of the job, and making fun of a rookie for not drinking.
A black man saying the line "we put hot sauce on everything" while eating hot sauce and grits at his desk on duty in the police station.
And the piece de resistance: the plot was about a prominent black female singer found murdered in a nightclub on bourbon street. At the end of the episode the cops find out it was actually a plot by a rich upper class white family to try and murder black people to keep other black people from returning after Katrina.

And it's incredibly ridiculous to think an 11 year old could pitch for the Cubs
Hey, numbnuts, does this woman have extra tight ligaments, hot ice, Chet "The Rocket" Stedman as a mentor, and the best damn pitching coach of all time in Brickma?
No?
Then shut up.

Major League Baseball has had players with three fingers, two guys with one arm, a deaf mute, and a midget.
All you need is one arm and 3 fingers to throw the ball. Being able to hear doesn't do much for you in baseball. Women just don't throw hard enough.

The fastest recorded baseball pitch by a woman is only 69 mph....

Someone posted a synopsis on here a while back. Apparently she forms some sort of love interest with the "captain" of the team. I just can't believe they would write that. You're going for a different show with a powerful women, but you still throw in a cliche love story with a teammate?

This is why I don't watch network TV anymore. Pure shite

Holy shite, I can throw harder than that now, and I have had 2 shoulder surgeries and haven't played organized baseball in 17 years.

That could be the worst I've seen.

The best/worst part was the main guy always yacking about a gumbo party.
NOLA commenters were going crazy after the first episode. Some wag posted:
Gumbo party!
My House
Friday Night
That cracked me up. I still think about it when I make gumbo.

It looks trite and forced. I'd be more inclined to believe it if they had her pitching a knuckleball instead and explain how she has abnormally large hands for a woman, which is why she grip the knuckler. Otherwise, women don't throw hard enough. I saw them clock a pitch of hers in the previews at 86 mph. If that was her screwball, then the show is utterly unbelievable. If that is her fastball, the show is still unbelievable because they simply can't pitch that fast. The only way a woman makes it in the majors as a pitcher is with a knuckleball. Period. A screwball would destroy her elbow, particularly if she pitches it frequently.

IT looks pretty bad.. Production value seems to be something they decided wasnt worth putting into this.. Concept is something that if done correctly could be good but the previews have been lacking to say the least.. Ill probably watch the first episode to make sure though..
