I do not care for Napoleon Dynamite. Doesn't really do anything for me.

I won't say that I think it sucks because there are interesting parts of the film (that I liked) but in its own special way Fight Club is wildly pointless and childish

It really pisses me off when people say shite like this. If you don't like the movies, that's cool. But don't presume to tell me the only reason I like whatever movie is because "I'm supposed" to. frick you I'm perfectly capable of deciding what movies I like and why

Well said. I guess I just meant that a lot of those movies are considered classics and some people just seem to buy in to their hype without allowing any criticism. That frustrates me.

I certainly didn't mean to say that it is inconceivable that anyone could like a movie that I don't like personally. Hell, Armageddon is one of my favorite movies, so clearly to each his own

But I don't find either movie "boring". Chinatown, The Conversation and The French Connection are all awesome films.

I actually like The French Connection II better than the first one and some might say it's even more 'boring'!

Kill Bill- I can't make it through those movies without falling asleep.

This. If that is Tarantino's opus, his career is not good.

Oh, and The Godfather.

decent movie, but long and extremely boring at parts.

Goodfellas was better.

I have not been able to sit through this entire movie and I've tried three times because of the love this board gives it.

Good call on this one. Hate this movie with a passion and the non-stop quoting of it while I was in college made me want to go on a Rampage

The Maltese Falcon.

The characters spent the whole movie talking about the action that occurred off-screen.

The Prestige.

Practically everyone on this board blows their load over this movie but I just don't see it.

avatar, titanic, hangover are my top ones.

and i can almost see everyone's side of the rest because of person preference, age of film and viewer, etc.

but Rocky? this is a GREAT movie. i don't see how anyone can sit down and watch this movie with an open mind and not enjoy it immensely. IMO, Rocky 2 is the best sequel ever made with maybe Aliens as an exception.

Not to derail but I'd put Terminator 2, X-men 2, and Toy Story 2 over Rocky 2 or Aliens any day in regards to best sequels ever.

Deerhunter, Midnight Cowboy, Chinatown, Taxi Driver, French Connection, The Conversation and a lot other praised films from the late 60s early 70s are just boring as shite to me and I think people just say they like them bc they are supposed to. I just don't like the style, although I know I'm in the VAST minority on this.

For the record, I DO NOT include Godfather in that category, however.

I have no words that adequately express how I feel about this post. So . . .

There Will Be Blood

I kept falling asleep and had to watch it in so many different sittings, I'm not even sure if I've seen the entire movie yet.
