What’s wrong with Black Panther?

It’s a very mediocre movie touted around as one of the best MCU movies because of its societal, or imo pop culture, resonance. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills when people praise killmonger. Michael b Jordan overacted, that villain was so cringy. Black Panther was just a forgettable movie for me and imo they didn’t do it justice.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned, but Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight wiping the floor with Vision

They made vision seem extremely weak. I kind of chalk it up to him starting to have some semeblance of human emotions

Not sure if this has been posted yet - I haven't checked into the thread since mid-day Friday.

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but I was shocked at how little of a role Capt America had in this film.

It's a minor quibble for me, but yes. He had little to do, and little impact. That kind of stinks when WS through Civil War was all about Cap reacting to the world and to the ways that SHIELD and/or Tony decide to fight.

Chris Hemsworth honestly probably displays the best combination of screen presence and comedic timing.

Totally agree with you. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I left the theater thinking I should have just waited for it to come out on DVD.

I'll trade you, since I didn't get the Lion King one:

I'll cede the ring ship explanation. Apparently some folks thought Thanos looked like Homer Simpson.

Although, this is funny.

I guess my one complaint would be that I felt Thanos didn't use the stones as much as he could have, but I understand there needed to be some semblance of belief that the Avengers could beat him.

Because Thanos wsn't about destruction for destruction's sake. He didn't want to "select" who died. He wanted it to be random. He was confident enough i his ability to kill who he needed, and leave everyone else alive knowing he would win and they would serve their purpose, whether they died or not.

I think that's what puts Thanos into "great villain" talk. The clarity of his plan and his pure confidence that it will work and it's the right thing to do.

Makes me curious as to how Captain Marvel is stronger than Thor. Feige said she’s the most powerful.

Seriously? Got dammit. Ms. Marvel has never shown to be stronger than Thor. Even Mar-Vell is a stretch. Especially now that the MCU seems to be portraying Thor as King Thor. For this to happen, she better be wielding the Nega Bands.

He’s dust. She was pissed. “He just came out with his own movie. Everyone is saying Wakanda Forever and you kill him the next movie? More like Wakanda ForNever!”

I'd say Captain Marvel is debatably the second most powerful member of the Avengers, with Thor I think comfortably more powerful, and Hulk, Dr Strange, and Vision being in the debate. She has complete mastery over energy and is super strong. I think she's vulnerable to magic though.

It would also go into using much higher beings and that is a stretch for the MCU imo

I think this could happen as the CM movie will have Ronan the Accuser. Didn't the Nega Bands come from the Kree to CM?

If Spiderman, one of the three most popular super heroes of all time, telling Tony "i'm not ready to go yet Mr. Stark" doesn't give you the feels, then you've either got no heart, or you simply didn't care one iota about this movie and this saga that's been going on.

Then I'm going to assume that you cried when Superman died in BvS, even though we all knew that he would be back in the next film.

I believe you're thinking of the Swordsman.
