On sci fi right now. Best of the series IMO. Slight edge over Raiders

it was my favorite of the three Indiana Jones movies...

But Raiders was a very close second.

I loved Sean Connery in the movie. He played that disappointed father figure well.

I loooove this movie and Raiders. And I'll be honest, I don't get all the hate that TOD gets on here. People trash it like it was a pile of dung but I thought it was enjoyable. It also had a few of the more iconic scenes in the trilogy with the showdown on the drawbridge at the end, the escaped mine car, the heart ripping out, the shootout in the opening scene, etc.

It appeared they were trying for more forced laughs in the TOD which puts it far below Raiders and Crusade.

Favorite one here too.

Every Indiana Jones film should have mainstream religious references and Nazis.

I liked Temple of Doom, but I loved Last Crusade and Raiders.

My favorite meme came from Temple of Doom:

As another poster said, I don't get all the hate for TOD either.

Anyway, watched all 3 again this weekend and there's something in TLC that always bothered me. In that scene where they find the knight's tomb in Venice, there's supposedly petroleum everywhere. Well Indy dips the femur and cloth in it and lights it to make a torch and isn't worried about blowing up one bit. Yet the cruciform sword guy comes in behind and drops a single match and the whole place goes up. That ever bother anyone else? And I understand that that probably shouldn't be the only scene in these movies that bother me.

That...never bothered me about TLC, but one thing that did bother me was the immortal knight.

What was the point of him staying there to guard the grail if he couldn't even swing a damn sword?

That was his life's mission, to find and guard the grail. I'm more curious about what he did there for 700 years. Obviously he didn't practice his sword skills.

lose the dinner scene with the snake surprise, eyeball soup, and chilled monkey brains and I think a lot of the hate goes away.

A lot of peopled hated Kate Capshaw in the movie, but I kinda had a thing for her back then.

Didn't like Short Round, though.
