I can agree on your Slevin commentary. It was a good payoff for the character more so than the audience. Good call

What’s that make it? Up to three Nolan movies mentioned?

I would be slipping if I didn't push Blade Runner here -

"Operation Dinner Out, I'll remember that"

"What did you say? Operation what?

Dinner Out, sir!"

Not a movie, but in Season 2 of Arrested Development they basically foreshadow Buster losing his hand all season. The jokes are subtle as hell but golly do they pay off when the dr comes out and says, "He's all right now"

That show continues to be criminally underrated.

The Pay Off in It's a Wonderful Life is perfect. They set you up with two hours of "How Bad It Is" and "How Bad it Could Have Been", then give you 10 minutes of "Look How Great You Have It".

The Prestige and The Usual Suspects are tops in my book.

One that hasn't been mentioned yet...

The one that got me the hardest and never saw coming was the ending of Identity. It wasnt a twist, it was a GD flip. and they spent the whole movie building up to it just to say GOTCHA!

The twist is so simple that I felt like an actual idiot for not even considering it. Everything is there the whole time.

How has Fight Club not been mentioned?

I know it’s old and memed to hell now, but what a great twist with great performances.
