This is a Rochefoucauld. The thinnest water resistant watch in the world. Singularly unique, sculptured in design, hand crafted in Switzerland, and water resistant to three atmospheres. This is THE sports watch of the 1980s. $6955 retail! It tells time simultaneously in Monte Carlo, Beverly Hills, London, Paris, Rome, and Gstaad!

You know who the pawnbroker is in that scene? (Hint: he’s a musician.)

Known for his Beat, and those rectangular guitars!

quote:

According to a 2008 interview with Vintage Guitar, Bo Diddley’s first guitar was made from whatever materials he could find, including the pickup from an old Victrola record player.

He built his first rectangular electric guitar in 1945.In 1958 Bo Diddley worked with the Fred Gretsch guitar company to build odd shaped custom guitars. Leaning against the wall below are two Jupiter Thunderbird guitars & the first one Gretsch built. It was called The Twang Machine.

Here's an Extra Chill about his guitars.

You can hear the YouTube video of him singing "Hey, Bo Diddley".

When I was six or seven, we had that song on a little 45 RPM record. I'm sure I listened to it the same way I did with all of my records. I played the same song over, and over. That one probably drove my mom crazy.

One of my favorite movies. I don't think it is streaming on any service. Do I have to buy it? I think it's likely this won't make it through our woke culture, even though the whole purpose of the movie was to prove how wrong the 2 old white guys were.

Not streaming anywhere I believe, although Amazon seems to have it every couple of years.

Honestly, it's become my favorite holiday movie every year, only behind Christmas Vacation.

One of my all time favorites. Rarely a week goes by, hell, a day where I don’t use a line from the movie.

Recently my boss gave me and others a relatively small Christmas bonus he thought was “big”. The first thing I thought of:

I hope everyone has viewed this again this year. If not, it's still in Paramount Plus..
