I feel like an idiot. I had never read that Idris had been attached to the Alex Cross movie. I thought I had come up with that on my own.

All your comments point back to two TV shows, not movies and yes I've seen The Wire. So your arguments aren't too convincing. Do I think he's a good actor? Yes. The OP is meant more for the people who think whatever movie or show he's in is gonna be great. Watch Ghost Rider 2.

Elba's a good actor and has great screen presence. He steals a lot of scenes he's in. No one ever said his movies are sure fire hits.
