I thought this opinion was going to end up being most people’s opinion after time passes and we could reflect on both movies without the recency bias
IW is the superior movie to me. It had better pacing and storytelling.

Asides from one weird scene on Titan, the flow, direction and conclusion almost made IW a perfect film.
I have trouble finding flaws in that movie.

Infinity Wars is better. Agreed. It's more fun to watch someones rise to power than it is to watch them keep it.

I enjoyed Endgame, but I found Infinity War to be much more entertaining.

I agree Infinity War is better.
It’s a rare superhero movie that makes every scene feel like it has stakes, while Endgame just feels like two and a half hours of lead up to an inevitable climax. That’s really a product of where the story was left after IW and I don’t know how they could’ve avoided that.
I will also say that the climax Endgame provided was outstanding and some of the most enjoyable action I’ve watched in a movie in a long time, it just doesn’t measure up to IW as a complete movie.
Honestly, as more time has passed, I think IW has (for me) passed TDK as the best superhero movie of all time.

Only Tony, Steve, Nat, and Clint had conclusion. With Clint still able to do things if the need arises.

It was still mostly an ending to a 23-movie story that preceded it. Don’t get me wrong, it was fantastic, but it’s function as the ending of this entire saga will prevent it from being one of the first MCU movies I go to when I want to rewatch one.

A well-done climax is going to be better than a well-done denouement in most cases.
IW was the climax, EG was the denouement. Thanos still "won" in the climax. EG is basically just licking wounds.

I agree, OP. IW was just a better overall movie with more at stake. "On your six" and "Avengers assemble" make it all worth it in the end though for me.

I found Infinity War to be objectively better. I was never bored
I was kind of bored in Endgame when Scarlett and Hawkeye went to get the soul stone and that whole scene. I was like - alright somebody croak so we can get to more interesting stuff

Didn't expect for pretty much everyone to agree me on this one, but I guess great minds think alike! Who knows, maybe Endgame will catch up after 10 viewings but I kinda doubt it.

+1 I think once the hype wears off, more and more people will start realizing how average it is.

I think I forgot almost all of Endgame as soon as I left.
