I honestly don't consider 10 Things to be a chick flick. It's more of a teenage flick.

I think movies where someone is brutally stabbed in the neck with a pen are automatically disqualified from chick flick territory.

It's definitely a chick flick.
And shut up.

What's your opinion on "Fever Pitch", "Bull Durham", and "A League of Their Own"? They're all baseball movies, but they all have some "chick flick" qualities.

Wedding Singer =/= Chick Flick.
Anything with Billy Idol falls into the =/= category. Seriously, the amount and type of comedy in some Sandler movies makes them hard to classify.
Has anyone seen the Hallmark Channel movie Elevator Girl (2010)?
An attorney, on the way to a dinner where he'll be named a partner, unknowingly falls for a girl working for the caterer.

Never saw Fever Pitch. The other two are far from chick flicks.
I go by what audience the producers are or seem to be going for. For example, the Hunger Games is about a bunch of kids killing each other off in a TV game show, but it's definitely a chick flick. Like someone else said, rom coms seem to be the biggest category.
I'm just glad we can talk about this now, before the word police outlaw the term.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Spanglish. Not sure if it meets the criteria, but I enjoyed it. Another Adam Sandler, what category is this movie.

I don't think fool's gold is a chick flick, but if it is, I liked it
