I don't get the hate for Skyler White [Breaking Bad *** SPOILERS ***]

I just finished Breaking Bad for the first time, and I don't get it.
I didn't particularly enjoy her spiraling bout with depression prior to walking into the pool, but hell, I understand why she'd feel that way.
What's with the hate?

Because she's a controlling count bitch that thinks everything always has to be her way and that no one else has to brain cells to rub together to make a decision. Her and Gemma Teller can both rot in hell. I can't think of any other fictional characters that can make my blood boil just talking about them.

Even in this tiny thread, the Skyler derangement is already off the charts. It goes far beyond her actual character, and you’ll never ever read similar vitriol directed at Walt. I think the Skyler hatred is great in whoever over-identified with Walt when he asked her to “climb down out of his arse” in Season 1.

She’s not my favorite character, but she was put in an impossible situation she didn’t ask to be in and handled it about as well—or much better, actually—than most wives would. She wasn’t likable, but the hate for her is over the top.

Even before Walt ever did anything wrong she treated him like a child. There's a reason he took to crime and became as malicious as he did. She primed him for it.
And the thing is she wasn't even really put off by the illegal activity. She took right too it after a while. She was pissed she kept it from her BECAUSE she's a huge control freak.
But she eventually learned how Walt felt for years, not being in control of her own life.

Did she have anything to do with him leaving the partnership with the people who went on to become billionaires?
I remember Walt started the company with them, maybe even dated the chick, but something something happened and Walt lived a life of regret.

Skylar was bad because she was a nit-picker and couldn't see the forest for the trees.
She couldn't see what Walt was trying to do and provide for his family's future.
But I always thought the sister was worse. She was a busy-body who stuck her uneducated nose in everyone's business and then would lecture them. She didn't even have a kid but was always lecturing Sklyar how to raise her son.
Because her husband was a cop she thought she was some authority figure in the family. She just prys into everyone's business and she's not even smart and never offers good advice but thinks she's right about everything.
