No he wasn't. He was the oafish bully that sometimes flashed signs of being a decent person. All the characters had some redeeming qualities, but in the end they were all flawed, unlikable people.

Skylar is easily unlikable, for the many reasons already posted by others. Several things she did would be a deal-breaker for many people, never mind all of the things she did combined.
That being said, I fully realize that if BB was told from her POV instead of Walt's, then I'm sure our perception of her would be much different. But that's not the TV show that was handed to us, so why bother overthinking it...

Insufferable. She was awful. She was like the epitome of the worst part of every woman alive rolled up in one character.
