You are right on this one, Marie was a useless count.

I think the fact that he and the other woman were once lovers (they had flashback scenes to illustrate how fiery Walt used to be with her), that she'd cheated with the other guy and Walt walked away from the business over it.

But I don't understand why a chemist of his caliber wasn't at least a college professor. I know they needed for him to be a loser HS teacher but that just wasn't believable to me, even if it was because he'd knocked Skyler up.

I’m not on team Skyler by any means, I’m more on Walt’s side, but the extremely biased hate towards Skyler is a little much imo

It speaks to the greatness of the show that there is even a discussion about who was worse, but some of the criticisms of Skylar are absurd

Well call me a little old fashioned if you must, but if she was having bad thoughts about her marriage and being tempted to act out, she should have gone down to the church and confessed her doubts and temptations rather than acting on them.

I never said Walt was the only bad guy and I said in another post I was more of a fan of Walt, I’m just talking about the people who hate on skylar for any and everything regardless of how nit picky it is and act like she was supposed to just be cool after finding out her husband was a meth kingpin

And for The Godfather comparison about being a bad guy, I’m just talking about Skylars point of view. It’s not like she signed up for this and knew he was some big time gangster from the start

But that's the point...I don't think it's the meth.

She is the controlling freak in the house and in bed and Walt is a mouse.

The entire series shows her growing uncomfortability as Walt becomes Heisenberg even WAY before she knows about his exploits.

Her big gripe is he's not taking her bossing around and shite anymore like she does in the first couple of episodes...she treats him like a child.

And she doesn't want to be around Walt because he's no longer the soft pushover who does whatever she says. Look at his birthday episode...that says it all. He's treated like a dope, like a child and Skylar loves it.

She starts recoiling once Walt stands up for himself and refuses treatment. She keeps saying, what is wrong with you and is aghast he got his balls back which annoys her.

That's why she sucks. She holds everyone down, even her son. She wants to be Queen of a tiny existence and Walt wants to be King of a Kingdowm.
