Cutting out everything after 2 so they have already made expectations high. Trailer did not come close to meeting those

CGI looks bad, real bad

Terminator gets beaten to a pulp on the ground removing fear of the villain

Discount Dylan Roof is one of the heros

James Cameron has once again attached his name for a paycheck

John Connor is most likely dead (rumor is he no longer matters after t2, dies in a normal way off screen)

How bad is it gonna flop?

It's one of those things theyll keep trying to get right over and over.

It can’t be worse than the last one.

James Cameron needs to get behind the camera for the Terminator films to be good again. They need Cameron to direct and helm the story to his vision. Without Cameron as the director, the Terminator films will continue to disappoint.

I was trying to be optimistic about this one since Linda Hamilton was back and James Cameron was involved again. But that trailer gave me no reason to be. I'd like to think that they are trying not to reveal too much with the trailer and it might be and incredible movie, but I seriously doubt that is the case. I'm just cynical that it's nothing but a cash grab and they could care less about making a good Terminator movie.

Very true. They nailed them both the first try.

To be honest - Terminator and Terminator 2 are legit. The rest is all just cash grab nonsense of varying quality.

So, my interest level is so low as to defy measurement.

Yet here I am.

(Honestly, I haven't watched anything since Terminator 3 in this franchise. That looks to continue for the foreseeable future.)

I would say it can't be worse than Salvation.

I even thought 3 was worse than Genisys. But let's face it, this series has been shite for some time.

Really? I actually enjoyed Salvation. 3 was shite outside of female killer bot. Genesys is an eyesore not meant for audiences.

I actually found some redeeming qualities with Genisys. It was a bad movie, but I had fun watching it.

Salvation is a bad movie that is absolutely ZERO fun. It's dreary, dark, takes itself too seriously. Which is fine, if it would have been a good movie. Like the first two Terminators. It was a product of a shite director.

they suck because they keep trying to take a badass testosterone-fueled guy movie, and turn it into some dumb frickin female empowerment stunt designed to get a few pats on the back from Hollywood and rotten tomatoes

Agreed. And for the most part, the bad-arse male has to look like Stallone, Arnold, etc. For a female to be "badass", the skinnier and prettier the better.

If salvation would have just been a story about new characters surviving in this world..

And had nothing to do with John connor or reese, it may have worked better.

Nope. He's producing. Tim Miller (dead pool) is the director
I did not like dead pool so my expectations dropped significantly after I found that out
