I knew that would be the case ending on a cliffhanger. I've seen a bunch of dumb criticisms of the finale. It's pretty obvious people are mad about cliffhanger and looking for stuff to bitch about. The episode was really good. We got the Daemon we've been waiting for all season, focused/driven.

As mentioned above, the 1hr 13 minute show was basically summed up in the trailer. Now fans have to wait until 2026 for season 3.

I understand fans wanting another battle this season perfectly. I wouldve liked another battle as well and have the same complaint.
Im not gonna then go try to find a bunch of other things to try to nitpick. No major battle in the final 2 episodes is a valid complaint on its own.
Episode 8 was really good, but we didnt get a "Blackwater" in Episode 9

Thank god they’re not going beyond 4, im kinda of ready to move toward some resolution and anything beyond 4 would have frick tons of boring filler

I really wish we would've got 10 episodes. At least we know s3 will start off with a major battle, but I'm worried s3 will also be cut to 8 episodes.
With 2 years between seasons we need more than 8 episodes. 12-13 would be appropriate but 10 should be bare minimum

I mean it's clearly setting up that Alicent is gonna look like a liar that reneged on their deal cuz she promised Aegon and Larys just smuggled him out of the city. I don't think she knew about that but I guess it's possible.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, its about money. HBO (frick that Max shite) is only gonna shell out so much so often. 20 mil per episode is pretty steep. Probably also why we're gonna wait 2 years.

I loved his character. Also, call my weird but Larys is one my favorite characters. I always like the shady whisper guys. Loved Littlefinger and Varys

E8 was longer but still felt abbreviated. As good as it was.
