Despite the gay stuff which I find pretty repulsive, this show is pretty damn good. The fat weirdo(Martin) is a damn good storyteller.

He feels pretty shitty that he fricked the Princess and dishonored himself as a member of the Kingsguard. Thought he could fix it by proposing they run off to Essos and get married but she wasn’t about that life. And then he gets pissed when Laenor’s paramour knows about him, kills him, and knows he’s probably fricked. So it makes sense he just wants to die at that point and that he loses his shite on ol’ boy.

I dont think you missed anything. Maybe we get an explanation next episode. Ol boy may have just said too much to a desperate man. At any time, the queen or princess can rat on him and give him a pretty cruel death. Not a good situation for Sir Cole to be in

I meant the scene at the wedding. The behind the scenes thing said he just snapped. But yeah good points by you too. Lot to deal with for sure.

I’m thinking he was ashamed about how he dishonored himself and the soon to be queen that when the guy said,” hey, I’m going to keep screwing my boyfriend and you can keep screwing the blond”, it pushed him over the edge.

Basically he knew he had been put in a position that he was dishonored and that he was never going to be more than a side piece to her. While they didn’t develop it a whole lot on screen, if he felt like he was in love with her then I imagine that compounds it too.
Of course Alicent now has that ace in her pocket. I look forward to seeing the interactions between her and the Princess in the time jump.
