Moody characters aren't interesting. In GoT S1 the only moody character was Ned, everyone else had range that hid how Fd up they were.

Well you have also only gotten an hour of screen time with all the characters. The girl was lighthearted up until her mom died.

I don't remember the signs of greyscale but he being pricked apart by the throne. He had the spot on his back and he also gained a cut on his hand during the episode after talking to daemon

True, which is why I said that I will keep watching in hopes of good character development. First episode doesn't inspire a ton of hope for me though.

It sets the stage for inter-family strife to sit on the throne. Same family where every family member has a pet dragon. Same family that intermarries causing even more inter family riffs. Targs were the most powerful family to ever exist in ASOIAF. Shite to hit the fan bigly.

I’m not sure if this point has been made but while Dameon might be a douche he isn’t hiding who he is and he actually seems to be right about the people on Viserys’ small council only working for themselves. Otto however definitely seems to be plotting something since he just sent his daughter to frick Viserys right after his wife and son died

I understand the events that transpired, and what they are setting up
None of the characters/actors move the needle much for me. This is my concern dude.

Yeah I can see that. Viserys was purposefully made to look weak. Otto was kind of deadpan. I guess I have a bit of faith because the story line is already set up for it to be intriguing.

Favorite part of first episode was when Dameon was about to give his speech in the whorehouse and one of his baws said EVERYONE STOP what you are doing and in the background you could see one of the whores stopping while on top of her man and turning to listen to his speech. My wife was the first one to notice this while we were watching and I was like " she's right you know" mem popped in my head
BTW we enjoyed the first episode and it's great getting some GOT back.
