That is also why Rhaenys escaping is key here. Any attempt to control how or what Rhaenyra knows, or any hope of catching her by surprise, quite literally flew out of the window.

Anyone else think Mysariah/White Worm survived and is now going to be a thorn in the side of the Greens, or even the realm in general? All this talk since the first episode of how crappy life is for the smallfolk, especially in KL, while the nobles ignore or even profit from their problems. Now, dozens if not hundreds are killed as collateral damage in a family dispute that can only lead to a civil war that will probably kill tens of thousands more and cause widespread suffering. Then, to top it off her brothel is burnt down, probably killing most of the inhabitants, just hours after extorting Otto. So yeah, I definitely think she is going to be alive and cause all kinds of problems similar to the Sons of the Harpy and High Sparrow.
Also, kind of a weird thought that I've had since early in episode 1, but whenever I see dragons flying over a city I wonder if they're like birds and some unlucky bloke is just walking to work or something and then all of a sudden he gets crushed by a 100 lbs of dragon crap.

they are at dragonstone, in a castle, with 5 dragons and presumably men at arms. otto tells ser harrold to "take your knights to dragonstone, make it quick/clean"...
Otto could be using that as a way to install a full Kingsguard of his own choosing.

Everyone knows Dragons only poop over water...
IDK if thats true but it seems like an explanation the show runners would come up with when pressed with why there aren't piles of Dragon shite everywhere.

Bear with me bc I'm thinking this out as I type it...
Mysariah captures Aegon when she learns the king is dead. Larys tells Otto the time he spends with the queen can be beneficial to him too. Then Mysariah's people somehow know they are looking for Aegon and decides to make a deal with Otto rather than Alicient. Larys later tells Alicient that Mysariah is responsible for helping Otto and offers to kill her. Then he burns down her brothel. Sounds like Larys is trying to pit Mysariah against Otto for some reason? Mysariah is definitely going to think Otto was responsible for burning her place down. Why does Larys want to piss off Mysariah? This guy has to be motivated by more than just feet.

Every time I hear Mysaria, it reminds me of Missandei...
But not even close..

So we don't know if Larys and Mysariah are working together, right?
I can't remember seeing them together before, but if so then he must've wanted Otto to get to Aegon first since Mysariah's spies sought out the kingsguard twins first. If they aren't working together then maybe he thought Mysariah and Otto
working together were a dangerous combo and wanted that power block ended. Also interesting that both of Larys' murder attempts were done by fire. He obviously has a type. Now every fire through the rest of the show we're going to be assuming has Larys behind it.

I think it makes sense that he would burn down her house:
She is helping Otto who is the pseudo-enemy of Alicient, at least in the short term. There is a power struggle within the Greens over who is actually in charge and I would bet with Aegon getting the crown and Aemond being jealous that the power struggle only gets bigger but I digress. If Larys knows that White Worm is helping Otto then its best to destroy the source of his information.
An added bonus is that White Worm may believe that it was Otto who burned it down. Its not hard to believe that Otto didn't like being blackmailed by a whore and double crossed her. Now not only does Otto not have a large source of information but Alicent has it on her side.
The flip side to this is if White Worm doesn't know that there is a division within the Greens, she may turn her back on both and help Rhaenyra and Daemon.

What's a myrish, tyrosh, Yi Ti, Pentos, etc... accent sound like? It has to be manufactured because it isn't a real place.
It still sounded particularly ridiculous. Neither GoT or HotD has had that issue before

quote:Everyone seems convinced that the Great Search for Aegon was simply to determine whether Mom or Grandpa gets to control the coronation. I am not sure that there was not something else going on.
Where's Aegon?
If you listen closely, you will hear Grandpa's knights telling Aegon that they want to take him "outside the City" to meet-up with Grandpa. Might Grandpa not be thinking that Aemond is a better choice and that "outside the City" might be a decent place to dispose of an unsuitable heir?
Of course, Aegon and his sister do have small children who would be his heirs if he were to be coronated. But he had NOT yet, and it would be a simple matter to crown Aemond if Aegon were no longer an option.
Just a thought.

Really? Isn't the sister a little off, mentally?

The show is depicting her as mystic/prophetic weirdo who likes spiders, but yes...she is married to Aegon II and they have three children.

Honestly, its best to just assume that any given Targ in this time frame is going to marry a Valyrian-blooded relative, if one is available.

In the book, I don't recall her being an imbecile.
