Still strikes me as impossibly naive. They were buddies as kids, that’s all. I have friends that I’m incredibly close with to this day, and I’ve accepted that their random son’s friends’ bday party will take precedent over watching a CFB game yet this girl thinks her friend will chose their friendship over her kids’ lives. Wake the f up.

It’s pretty silly when you think about it, but the scene was solid imo. Especially considering what’s about to happen.
Also it’s been a while since I have read fire and blood but isn’t Rhaenys characterized almost completely opposite? Like a bit war mongery?

Things get weird real fast with Targaryens and relatives.
So I watched the trailer a bunch for next weeks episode. I think I have a pretty good idea of how it will shake down. First 20 min or so will be the greens amassing their forces by way of duskendale and the other minor battles and then 40ish min for rooks rest. Aegon will join with sunfyre to 2v1 Rhaenys. Baela arrives late and witnesses it while Jayce is starting the dragonseed quest which will have 10ish minutes for it and the conclusion of the battle.

The best battle will be over God's Eye but I doubt that we see that in the next episode. In the books there are two big dragon fights so maybe one of them is in the next episode which would be near the time line of events.

You're right, especially at the pace they're going. Maybe the fall of King's Landing then?
I guess it depends on what they're including on screen. There's everything with the Dragonseeds, the Battle of the Gullet, the Battle of the Honeywine, The Red Fork, then the fall of King's Landing. But some of that stuff happens in pretty quick succession or concurrently with other battles/skirmishes.

Maybe but i think they could stretch it so that Gullet is the penultimate and one of the other battles and prelude to kings landing is the season ender.

Have to think the Gullet will be the most expensive episode to date.
Fighting on the water, fighting on the island, a crap ton of dragons, etc.
