I finally saw the episode but it was sort of ridiculous. The guy is 10 years removed from combat training by any stretch. I know once a marine always a marine but that just seemed physically impossible.
The guy has a hardcore smack problem and he's miraculously vetted through some language courses (Portuguese of course because their OP is in the middle frickin east) and no longer a junkie. In fact, he's completely operational. Miracle I tell you.
Despite all that, I enjoy his Swan Song even of contrived from two wet sticks making fire in a thunderstorm. Your wife meeting an Israeli OP on India is kind of absurd but whatever. I knew he wasn't busting that Punnanny for its sweet fruit anyway.
Still I liked the episode. I thought it was well put together.
Ambien kicking in and losing focus. I'll try again later.

I like how Saul has a flimsy plan to get Brody into Iran but Brody will have to "figure it out" when it comes to the hit itself

there had to be something up with the Mossad agent - who in their right mind would willingly want to have sex with that she-man beast? Saul's wife is butt-ugly on her best day
my biggest issue was how open-arms and willing the rest of the special forces guys were to accept Brody back as a soldier, as one of them. As if he never was a traitor terrorist. Because those type are normally so forgiving of soldiers who turn their back on their own country

Don't forget the US also has a non-assassination policy as well. This storyline is weak.

That's another thing. She met this guy while in India which was before the CIA bombing. Before the senator would ever need any reason to spy on Saul. She just happened to meet an Isreali intelligence guy and the senator found out about this somehow. I know the show has never been realistic but it's starting to border on nonsensical.
And how many times can Carrie do crazy stupid shite to jeopardize ops? I still am interested to see what happens but sometime I just have to shake my head.

So he goes from being a smacked out junkie to running Black Ops for the CIA in 16 days?? This is getting ridiculous.

You guys put way too much thought into the plots. I just enjoy the ride and I think it's been fun
Is it realistic? No
Is it good acting and fun? Yessir

True. It's not like I'm not going to watch it on Sunday.

Hmmm, guess I'm old fashioned like that.

Did anyone else enjoy watching Carrie get shot in the arm? She always acts erratically with next to nothing for consequences, and I found myself laughing when Quinn took her down.

This.
Apparently complaining about Homeland is the vogue thing to do nowadays.
-Dana sucks
-The plot is batshit crazy
-Carrie is annoying
-Saul's wife is ugly
-Let's talk about how much a bitch Dana is...
We get it.
The 3rd season has become much more entertaining since the snooze fest of the first four episodes, IMO. Season 1 was the GOAT and will never be touched, and I've come to terms with that.

Homeland's basically 24 now, still very entertaining, but the reasonable plausibility of the story has been gone since Q&A in the middle of season two.
And Dana does suck. I hate her.

Pretty good episode. Felt more like an episode of 24 though.
