epic fail on both castings.
Yen is super hot, but that girl isnt nearly old enough to pull off that mature, dignified Yen look

I'm old so I figured I was having a get off my lawn moment when I saw the chick playing Yen.
So I am glad someone else said it.

I don't hate either of those castings visually. Not really familiar with much of their acting though.

That’s probably every writers room at Netflix.
Men who aren’t men. And third wave feminists.
This is going to be awful.

My post in another thread:
Yennefer looks way, way too young, at least in that photo. The actress is apparently 22. Hollywood likes to cast actresses young in general but Yennefer is over 100 years old in the lore. She's exceptionally world wise, confident, educated, respected, etc. That could be hard for a younger actress to pull off. I'd put the look of her character in the games in her early 30's, possibly late 20's at youngest.
Plus a girl this young just looks weird as a serious love interest for Geralt. Yennefer and Geralt are supposed to have a complicated history. Just harder to buy that with such a young actress.
So yeah, the cast looks perfectly fine outside of Yennefer. She's likely going to try her best to be all bold and confident and stuff but it's almost certainly going to come across like a little girl acting tough, not genuine.
She also lacks Yennefer's va-va-voom factor, also mostly due to the fact she appears to be a young kid.

Google Image search got me, what can I say.
Still ok with the casting because Yennefer looks like she does because magic and spends a shite load of time throwing tantrums at Geralt. Long as they don't pull a Starfire it'll be an ok start.

This is gonna suck more then the hexer did back in the day.
I literally hate everything about this showrunner woman. Her casting choices, her social justice b.s. That she obviously doesn't grasp the fact that you don't need minorities to be cast in this for the sake of appeasing minorities when the whole thing is literally about Geralt being an outcast minority due to being a mutant.
frick I hate this woman so much.
And not to mention her credits are crap. The defenders, power, daredevil. A bunch of CW crap. This will be some low budget CW b.s.

Anya looks exactly like Fiona from Shameless.

In the books, she is pretty young I believe. She isn't supposed to be nearly as old as she is in the game/picture I shared.
