It's sad that they're doing such a good job with this casting, only to completely bomb the Snape casting which will completely destroy the entire narrative of the series.

The Snape casting has killed any urge to watch this show for me. I just can't get over that they actually did it for one of the most important characters in the story.

It's just a terrible decision. I realize JK Rowling is involved in the casting for this project, but I simply cannot fathom what she's thinking here. Without major changes to Snape's backstory, this will make multiple, very important background characters look like villains.
