Holy shite.

Season 1 was one of the best shows ever, point blank period.

Season 2 was a cringe slog that was a big step down.

Season 3 is leaps and bounds below even that. It is borderline unwatchable.

Knowing in advance this was the last season I’m sticking it out out of respect to Season 1. But I’m ready for the finale to just put this dying dog down.

Any other shows come to mind that have had a fall off this bad??

I posted the same thing in the season 3 thread but seemed like an unpopular opinion.

Yeah, the first season really started down the road of an interesting, heartfelt, character driven comedy of the sort I haven't seen in a long time.

The second season regressed the primary character purely into a ditzy clown and then started checking boxes. I stopped halfway through.

I didn’t watch last night’s episode but the two before it were awful (which is apparently an unpopular opinion). The more I watch the more I find it cringey and the parts that are supposed to be funny are predictable and corny.

Did you sort of just forget about Game of Thrones?

Granted it wasn't as quickly.

I’ve always thought it was cringe but this season takes it up a notch. Plus the whole introducing more gay storylines.

no shite. It came out at the perfect time with the country hating each other. Just a feel good show with a good heart. No more no less. GOAT? GTFO...

Ya know, I’m glad other people share this opinion. I thought it was just me because all I hear all the accolades.

I seriously can’t get through episodes of the show - it kinda sucks.

I liked season 2.

I haven't really seen season 3 talked about anywhere, which tells me it must be pretty meh.

I thought it went downhill almost immediately. Once it went from "Feel good story of a middle class American white guy who wins hearts (and soccer games) in England with his unique brand of folksy but sometimes goofy humor and wisdom" into "He's a mess, everyone's a mess, let's have endless melodrama about relationships and feelings instead of the fast paced, good natured, silly humor that hooked people in the first place."

I'm glad there are others. Felt like an outcast. I don't get the popularity of the show at all. My wife watches it and I've given it countless tries. Can't do it.

I like that show to the end, but the killed Danny off WAY too quick. The time they dedicated to the younger brother should have been his. He was much more watchable.
